Noche Buena

Christmas! The dinner at Christmas midnight here in the Philippines is called the 'Noche Buena', and I'm not quite sure what that means. But before stuffing ourselves silly, I had to drag myself to a nearby Catholic church (as I am the only non-Catholic member of the clan; making me a near-heretic LOL) for the Christmas Eve mass. The mass was long and hot but I pulled through it. One thing I like about Catholic churches is the fact that one can light candles for prayer. Supposedly, the smoke from the candles would carry one's prayers to the heavens.. I lit 10 candles. =)

^ Mum, Buenaventura family, Lim family, Kuek family, PBC family, friends here in Philippines, friends in Malaysia, *secret*, *secret*, and for myself.

With that done, we went back home, but I stopped by a stall to buy some peanuts. I heart peanuts. Back home, I surprised the Buenaventuras with a big-ass cake from Becky's Kitchen (again).

^ Yummy. *grins*

^ With my grandma. =)

^ Cousins Kyle and Krizia.

^ A 'fire pit'. Don't laugh.

^ So that's where the barbecue went. =P

^ Aunt and cousin.

^ Cousins Kyle and Kaye.

So after being bloated full, Christmas wasn't so bad. All my presents came from friends. LOL.

Merry Christmas everyone!

PS. Since mum's not here to give me a present, I bought a new pair of shoes for dancing. My beloved Cortez pair is broken. *pout* Next post!

  2. Aww, prayer on the Kuek family *huggles*

Have you heard? Youth went around visiting people, took three cars and had WALKIE-TALKIES to talk to each other with CODE-NAMES for the cars! Why didn't they do that last Christmas? I want to play with a walkie-talkie! Lol.
