Skittlez at Levi's Rock Candy

Saturday, 13 October, the crew was invited to perform at a Levi's-sponsored La Salle (yet another one) party at Rock Candy at Glorietta 2.

^ Skittlez crew. Kevin was late, so he's not in there.

^ Liz, Fab, Coyi, Ann, G-Fab, Aldz (the clueless face at bottom-left).

^ Skittlez's couple, G-Fab and Ann.

^ Nika, Aldz, and his sister Andrea.

Since it was sponsored by Levi's, there was also a fashion show at the club.

^ Grr.. I like the shirt!

^ I like this dude's shirt even better. *sigh*

I also won myself a Levi's cap for.. well, wearing Levi's.
I also realized that a lot of people do not wear Levi's.

^ Dark denim cap.

After the performance, we danced a bit and decided to have dinner at Max's. The chicken there's awesome.

^ Skittlez at dinner with Decky's dad and little bro.

We headed out to dance some more at Bed Space but I couldn't be bothered to take pictures. Just remember Akon's song, and you'll have a rough idea of what transpired.

"You already know.."

Ahaha.. That's my last party this week! Yay!

La Salle Party at Jaipur

Prince of Jaipur (or Jaipur for short), is a high-end Indian/Arab restaurant that turns into a high-end hip hop club after 10pm. And as La Salle won the UAAP championships, this party was all-exclusive to Lasalistas. You're not from my school? Got 500 bucks? Hahahahaha.. So anyway, I gotta look fly, and with that shirt? Dang! *grins*

^ My boys at Jaipur. Aldz (the b-boy) and Decky (the Krumper).

And of course, a VIP stamp sure helps you party even better.

^ It's a little faded from the condensation of my drinks. *grins*

^ View from the dance floor.

^ View from the VIP section.

Since Joe wanted to see the babes that I party with, here's to you my Agent Orange brother. Please don't wet your pants you naughty Scouser.

^ Note that there are more girls when I am in the picture. *grins*

Mike brought high school friends. I love you Mike.

^ Kate, Isabel, Mike. Isabel = wow. She was the only one I danced with the whole time at Jaipur.

Finally, the dancers.

Me, Vince, Aldz, Decky.

In 2 hours, there's another party. Will post pictures as soon as I'm not too tired from the 6 days of hard partying.

PS. I love DLSU.

DLSU Celebration Week

Okay I know. No updates for a long time.
La Salle Green Archers won the UAAP championships in basketball and that's about how big it gets here in the Philippines. What happens?

PARTY.

Everyday since Sunday. My God, it's awesome. It's awesome for me because I have free access to most of them which means no financial damage. *laughs* Then on Thursday, La Salle had a big party right in our own Central Plaza.

Aldz, Kev, Decky.

Me, Kev, Decky.

Me, Coyi, Ann, Liz, Decky. Go green!

Then hung out a little bit with some TAPAT guys. TAPAT is a political organization in La Salle.

Krista and Kaye. My food and Tagalog teachers. They are also my personal girl guides.

Went to eat at Charlie Brown. The two girls oriented me to 'chicken sisig'.

OMG it's delicious.

Then we went back for a rock night party!!

I heart my school. =)

Yet Another Hectic Week

Hello readers.

As usual, my bedmate Ms. Procrastination has set her foot down. *sigh*
I meant to update last Wednesday but never got around to doing so. Anyway, here's what's been happening in the week.

La Salle beat Ateneo to go to the finals. *cheers*

Political Science class is getting a lot more interesting.
I found out stuff about Plato that really encouraged my own political views about the current system in the Philippines. Not that all he said was right and practical, but that old guy has genius in his insanity.
Made a lot more new friends.

Became a member of animalmatters.org. Collected heaps of signatures to help out with animal rights around the world and in Philippines.

La Salle beat UE's Red Warriors yesterday in Game 1 of the finals.
One more win on Sunday and the Green light is back on.

La Salle retreat yesterday. All phones and cameras confiscated for the day.
Had good debates about politics which Roberto and I thoroughly enjoyed.
I hate it when people open their mouths without knowing the proper facts, and without reliable sources. Also when they take it so damn personally.

Officially annoyed with a guy named Mac Mac for being a ridiculous nerd.

Bought a box of cookies from the La Salle fencing team.
Fencing and cookies. Make the connection yourself.

Going. Class in an hour.

There you go.

Gun Show

La Salle had a gun show.

For ROTC (which I assumed was something like the NS we have back in Malaysia), different weapons were being displayed. There were guns, equipment, models (of ships, not female officers), and scarred Rangers in uniform.

I had fun in the assault rifle section.

Nice guns.

Don't mess with St. Co.

Some big firepower.

Don't fart.

So yeah, it was pretty cool. *grins*

Achilles

I tore my Achilles tendon.

Wednesday morning. I walked around my pad with a massive pain at the back of my ankle. I knew it was the Achilles but I didn't quite know what caused it. I sucked it up and went to La Salle.

I managed to reach South Gate from Estrada Street and by that time the pain was just horrendous. Unbearable. *sigh* I managed to hobble my way to the school clinic and collapsed in pain.

The nurse asked me to replay my past 24 hours and then I realized maybe I just did my ankles no justice. If you are familiar with La Salle's layout, you'd understand. I went up to 10th floor in Andrew 3 times from the ground floor. Walked from Andrew to La Salle Main 4 times back and forth. I had basketball at 220pm in the Sports Complex, followed by volleyball, running, and kicking around the ball. More walking around campus, then more walking to get to my jeep station. Then it's 5 floors to my pad. Over-strained Achilles tendon, or Achilles tendonitis. It hurts. The nurse and doc refused to give me painkillers. Apparently, they know how much it hurts so they had to give me the strongest one, which might cause an allergic reaction. *sigh*

I should be fine in a little under a week, but I'll definitely be late for many classes. *sad*

Wish me well.

24092007

Horrid day.

Aside from my favorite class, English Communication (ex-teacher here, no duh) with Professor Chanco, today was pretty much a day from hell.

We were dismissed early, and I found myself with nothing to do, so I decided to help out Trish, Ara, and Xyra with their collage project. Alright, cool, so that was done. Things just went downhill from there.

At the La Salle clinic, they told me that they cannot grant me a physical exam because I came late. Apparently the doctor's only in at 8am up to 1030am. Newsflash! I have classes! Oh well, see you on Wednesday.
At the Registrar's office, I went to collect my ID. The ticker counter was at 101 and mine was 119. Alright, I'll wait. After a decidedly uncomfortable time between two noisy ladies in the seats, it was my turn. Well what do you know? ID cannot be released unless I submit my physical exam report. The wonders of red tape.

Now that really pissed me off. *grr* It's a long walk from La Salle Main to Andrew (the name of my building) but whatever. My next class was Math. In class, in perfect timing while doing the hardest questions, my stomach decided that maybe lunch was not too agreeable after all. Brain screams 'puke', body screams 'f*cking hold on man'. *sigh*

Next was Political Science class. I had a 'group' work due, and only Miko sent in his part. I did the rest by myself. *grr* Anyway, whatever. Then I realized. My thumb drive is still on my laptop. This was the moment I went ZOMFG. *grr* Really annoying. I explained it as briefly as I could to Miss France (no shyt, that's her name) but I mentioned nothing about the lack of participation from my team. She wanted to mark all of us as 'late' but here I made a decision. I would take it for the team. It's not noble or anything; I just figured it's better I get all the deductions rather than the rest. Better one than all five. I have until Wednesday. Must remember.

Then it rained.

It was a freaking rainbath (as opposed to bloodbath). I swear it was biblical in proportion. It suited my mood then though. Luckily Aldz and Decky accompanied me in Z-Squared while I studied and waited for the rain to stop. Of course it didn't, so Aldz and I decided to chill at La Salle's McDonald's. At least the horrid day was cooling off. Aldz introduced me to Nicole and Elaine. Elaine had to go walk back alone along Taft under the rain. Like hell I'll let that happen. It's notorious Taft. Chicks walk with pepper sprays after 6pm here. So I grabbed my cute little tartan umbrella and walked her to her condo. At least I was sure she got home safe.

Ah so it's back to Aldz and I again. Raining heavily, so we huddled under my umbrella and walked the 15 minutes to Andrew. His car was parked behind, at the place ironically named The Beach (no beach in sight, mind you). Thank God Aldz sent me home. Otherwise I'd be soaked in the jeep.

There goes an eventful day in the life of The Jay.

Tomorrow, hopefully it's a lot better, and do wish me luck in my application to be a La Salle Ambassador.

On a very happy note:
Happy 19th birthday Vincent Lau!
Brother, friend, and prefect mate!
Long live the Chicken Board of 2004/2005! *grins*

PS. Why is my campus nickname still Malaysian? I thought people know my name now.

Recap

First of all my readers, I apologize for not updating as often as I should have had.
University's really stressful and going for Dean's List isn't such a piece of cake either, especially in a school like La Salle.

Here's what happened so far.

I made a ton of new friends.

There's the English Communication class people like Hira, Trish, Xyra, JC, Joseph, Trish 2 (the Spanish wake-boarder), Joy, Ara, Imma, and Jess.
The Skittlez Crew, Decky, Matt aka G-Fab, Fabulous Fabi, Aldz, Nika, Liz Beth, Ann (the 'gay' one), and Kevin.
The Anthropology babes, Ice and Kisha.
Plus the Political Science boys, Roberto, Miko, Ron, Monti, Kevin, Hans, Rian, Ferdinand and Hiram (both La Salle varsity basketball players), and Carlo.
Not to mention the assorted guys and gals around campus like Luis, Deanna, Dianne, Marisse, and Carlo.

Looking good. *smiles*

Saturday, last night, we hit Fabulous Fabi's crib for his little birthday party. He lives in Katipunan, which is the home territory of Ateneo, La Salle's biggest rivals. Understandably, we all wore all colors except green. *grins* It took 2 LRT rides to get to Fabi's place. Once there, we were required to 'dance'. 3 of us were Krumpinoy members, and Kevin and I are dancers, so okay, we did a little thing there in Fabi's living room. Then we hit Warehouse.

For my Malaysian dudes, Warehouse, or Warehouse 135, is a club.

It was fun. I was not allowed to bring my little messenger bag so I left my camera in there too. The place was freaking full but at least beer's cheap and the babes look good.

Neil, G-Fab, Decky, Kevin.

Neil, me, Decky, Kevin. I don't know about the pout thing. Hmm..

Soap can't quite clean up the Warehouse tag.

We partied at Warehouse until pretty late, and as it's in Makati, heck, I was too tired to go home and crashed at Decky's place. Went home at 7am.

Now it's 1.50pm and I should be getting back to my Political Science assignment.

Cheers.

Death Predictor

Click this: Death Predictor

Jason Cruz: At age 68 a large monkey will beat you to death, using the antiquated art of fisticuffs.

I find that mildly disturbing.
However, I would be the first to admit that an awesome death is a lot cooler than, say, dying in my sleep.

Plus my grandkids need to impress the other kids in the canteen.

"Your grandad was hit by a truck? No way! Mine was beaten fugly by a gorilla."

Now that's what you call bragging rights.
