Untraceable

A crime thriller. :) I love those.

The concepts are fresh, and the method of crime quite revolutionary. The techniques used to kill were quite creative and scientific though. However, analyzing planned execution #4 (of protagonist), it went from scientific to just brutal, which I felt took away the scientific credibility of the execution methods.

Diane Lane was brilliant in her role, though the rest of the case were very disappointing. Their acting was average on most times. However, they were lucky Lane is such a good actress.

The movie is very disturbing in the sense that their key plot concept (people are undeniably curious to watch human suffering and death) is a very real phenomena. You can even check yourself. The site featured on the film, killwithme, is very real, and is available for everyone to visit.

Overall an average thriller crime-movie. Could have done better with the plot sequence and better talents.

6/10

  1. waaa... I watched this movie a couple of weeks ago and forgot to make a review... tsk tsk..

its OK i guess. what I didn't like is how they traced the identity of the killer. its too simple for me even though at first there was no clue to connect the victims...

  2. Yes. They just jumped into.
Hence my statement about how they could have done better with the plot sequence.

I thought this was going to be one of the nicer movies of 2008 bro. :(
