Davao Day 1 - Davao City

We arrived at Davao sometime after lunch, and we ate at one of Julian's restaurants, the Bistro. As the size of our "afternoon snack" suggested, this was the start of holiday weight-gain! :P

Here is a medley of airport shots, aerial shots of Davao, the Bistro and what we ate, Julian's grandma's home (which had a swimming pool no less), us, and Julian's dad.

We dined that night at another of their restaurants, the barbecue branch of "Harana". I don't have pictures though, as for the duration of the trip we were using Ann's camera and we had "hand-food" so none of us touched the camera. Haha.. Day One was great, and it only got better from there.

  1. My province is in Saranggani, but we also have a house in General Santos.

My mom makes this weird Davao seafood delicacy (I forgot what it's called); I'm not very much into seafood, but I guess you should try it. :D

  2. Hi there! I think I know what dish is that; all-raw something with vegetables? I haven't tried that though. :)

Thanks for dropping by my blog!

  3. I haven't really tried to involve myself as to how it was cooked. The very smell was enough to make me leave the house, but, yes, there was enough vegetables in it to make me cry. Vegetables & seafood in one dish? I'll eat my vegetables without trespassing ocean critters they call food, thank you very much. :D

  4. I gather you're not very much into seafood then..? :P That's new; you must be the first person I know of who think so.

  5. What I only don't like about seafood is its "sea"-smell & "sea"-taste that lingers when others cook it. I, of course, eat seafood, but I ask mine to be fried & burnt to a toast, so I can't anymore taste its origin. Fried seafood only for me. I guess I'm not very fond with any type of bodies of water.:D
