Front Roll King

Remember my blog post Christmas Party at Aileen's? There, you would have been acquainted with Red, a hiphop dancer who is also the choreographer of the Sirens Crew. Well here he is in all his glory during our dance practice at Chiang Kai Shek College. Note that my knees and head were bent, bringing down my height by about 3-4 inches. No matter. He never even touched my hair.

Christmas Party at Sabs'

27th of December, Christmas party at Sabs' place. Mostly peeps from La Salle Green Hills but it was good to see familiar faces there. *grins* I think I ate a little too much peanuts. My bad Sabs. Hahaha..

^ Signing the guest list.

^ We were here!

^ Yummy pesto and palabok.

^ Don't lose your cup.

^ Christmas tree.

And then there were people..

Sabs is the one with glasses by the way. Man, her house is huge. Thanks for the party (and the peanuts! LOL) again Sabs. See you in school!

And to wrap up this post, this is my shot of the night.

^ With Andie.

LOL.

New Kicks

Got myself a new pair of kicks, since mum's not here to give me anything for Christmas. *grins* It's not just for the sake of getting new kicks, it's more on necessity. My favorite pair of sneakers for dancing broke, so I bought a new pair with stitching instead of the usual glue-job.

Gotta break this pair in when I have dance. Not until next year though. *sigh*
Gorgeous eh? =)

Noche Buena

Christmas! The dinner at Christmas midnight here in the Philippines is called the 'Noche Buena', and I'm not quite sure what that means. But before stuffing ourselves silly, I had to drag myself to a nearby Catholic church (as I am the only non-Catholic member of the clan; making me a near-heretic LOL) for the Christmas Eve mass. The mass was long and hot but I pulled through it. One thing I like about Catholic churches is the fact that one can light candles for prayer. Supposedly, the smoke from the candles would carry one's prayers to the heavens.. I lit 10 candles. =)

^ Mum, Buenaventura family, Lim family, Kuek family, PBC family, friends here in Philippines, friends in Malaysia, *secret*, *secret*, and for myself.

With that done, we went back home, but I stopped by a stall to buy some peanuts. I heart peanuts. Back home, I surprised the Buenaventuras with a big-ass cake from Becky's Kitchen (again).

^ Yummy. *grins*

^ With my grandma. =)

^ Cousins Kyle and Krizia.

^ A 'fire pit'. Don't laugh.

^ So that's where the barbecue went. =P

^ Aunt and cousin.

^ Cousins Kyle and Kaye.

So after being bloated full, Christmas wasn't so bad. All my presents came from friends. LOL.

Merry Christmas everyone!

PS. Since mum's not here to give me a present, I bought a new pair of shoes for dancing. My beloved Cortez pair is broken. *pout* Next post!

Christmas Eve

A lot of things are running through my head right now.. This will be the first Christmas I remember that I will be spending by myself. While I've enjoyed the independence and being responsible for the past six months, of course, Christmas is something that should be spent with loved ones. Of course, I'm not totally alone; Grandma is here, and for the first time, I will be with my only cousins from mum's side. With 3 hours or so to go before Christmas, I'm a little excited and nervous at the same time. This year, there will be no Christmas tree at my place, no more presents to unwrap (already did, at the Sirens party), and not that many friends calling me to wish me a Merry Christmas. Sad? Not quite.. Just a tad bit lonely I suppose..

Jay is a little emo.

On a lighter side, last Saturday, the Jay was at Jaipur again, always ready to battle. There's a guy from South Africa who also had pretty good arm tricks, but hey, no one does that in Jaipur without going through me. *grins* Plus with my new krump outfit, it felt good to dance and battle. LOL. He should have had more tricks, poor boy.

^ The black Skittle goes white.

Merry Christmas people..

All Stars at Battlegrounds

My favorite routine from the Philippine All Stars. This dance is pretty old, but I love the 'Snap Your Fingers' entrance routine, and the krump routine at the end. Enjoy!

Christmas Party at Aileen's

It's 5 days before Christmas and SIRENS had a Christmas party at Aileen's place down at Paranaque. Her house is pretty nice, reminds me a lot of Miri. It's a pot-luck, so that was really cool too. I did the Malaysian thing and brought cake. *grins* Swiss white chocolate, from this place near La Salle called Becky's Kitchen. Really good cakes, I must say. Let the calories roll. Ahaha..

^ Some of the Sirens dancers.

^ The resident twins, Jane and Joyce. Or Joyce and Jane. I'm not sure which is which, to be honest.

^ Everyone knows I'm an alcohol sissy, so my one and only shot of the night was worthy of a Kodak-moment. *tear* LOL.

^ Some of the Sirens again.

^ Aileen and I trying to catch each other taking pictures.

^ Red, Irish, and Mark having a serious discussion about wasabe.

Unfortunately, people who are really full with food and with friends tend to try out really insane things. For this party, it's TWISTER. *shakes head* Oh my goodness..

^ Getting ready to twist.

^ That's one messy twister. Aileen's decided it's better to go over everyone. Hey, anything for victory right? LOL. If a pile-up looks bad..

^ That is infinitely much worse. Thank God I do not play this game. *whew*

After Twister.. people get bored. So what do you do? You contemplate a new game of course. *grins* Red and Evelyn, wondering how spicy, really, is fresh wasabe..

^ Red and Evelyn checking the wasabe while Michie prepares the wasabe sauce. For what? I don't quite know actually.

^ No turning back now..

^ That can't be a good feeling. Red's sweating, and Eve's, well, red.

After the wasabe challenge, it's time for more Twister. For the uncomfortable position of the night, Evelyn wins the prize with this scandalous position.

^ *sigh* Twister is an evil game.

To add even more laughter to the night, something strange was stalking the kitchen floor..

^ No prizes guessing what that is.

And I got three pressies, from Charlene, Michie, and Aileen. Thanks to Michie for the shirt with the jeep (I heart jeeps) and to Aileen for the garish boxers. *smiles* Love em both! Minus 500 to Cha for the poo-toy. LOL! That was pretty thoughtful, so plus 510. Ahaha..

Great party, Sirens!

Grades Are In

School Year 2007-2008, 2nd Term, De La Salle University - Manila.

4.0 - Political Science
3.5 - Volleyball
3.0 - English Communication
3.0 - International Relations
2.0 - Anthropology
1.5 - Mathematics
1.0 - Critical Thinking

A fail is 0.0, and the highest grade possible is 4.0.

As you can see, I just passed Critical Thinking, and it is such a shame. A shame since I have already learned Critical Thinking back in Prime, and my own mother teaches the subject, not to mention I've already attained such a good grade for it back in A-Levels. Unfortunately, I did not go for the option presented by my professor, which was to buy 100 extra points (possibly giving me a 2.0 or better) with "500 bucks worth of donations". I'm sorry Mister, but I was never raised to buy grades so..

You can take your shoe and slap yourself on the face with it.
Now go make me a sandwich.

As for Math, thank you, my 'team', for not doing your part and making me scratch up an entire team's work in 2 days. Obviously, you assholes just want a 1.0 when I want a 2.5 or better. Next term, thank God I won't be in your classes anymore, and you can all have fun looking for a responsible team member. Good luck with your studies, morons.

Grades are okay I suppose, but no Dean's List. Minimum grade should be 2.0.
I'll try again next term.

PS. Damn, I didn't know I'm a bit of a kick ass in volleyball. *grins* That's a highlight.

Say Goodbye

Chris Brown - Say Goodbye

Look we gotta talk
Dang I know
I know it's just
It's just...
Some things I gotta get of my chest alright..
Yeah..
Whoa, whoa, whoa, oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, oh, whoa..
Listen..

Baby come here and sit down, let's talk
I got a lot to say so I guess I'll start by
Saying that I love you,
But you know, this thing ain't been
No walk in the park for us
I swear it'll only take a minute
You'll understand when I finish, yeah
And I don't wanna see you cry
But I don't wanna be the one to tell you a lie so

How do you let it go? When you,
You just don't know? What's on,
The other side of the door
When you're walking out, talk about it
Everything I tried to remember to say
Just went out my head
So I'ma do the best I can to get you to understand
'cause I know

There's never a right time to say goodbye
But I gotta make the first move
'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me
Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you
Girl it's not you, it's me
I kinda gotta figure out what I need (oh)
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But we know that we gotta go
Our separate ways
And I know it's hard but I gotta do it,
And it's killing me
Cause there's never a right time
Right time to say goodbye

Girl I know your heart is breaking
And a thousand times I
Found myself asking, "Why? Why?"
Why am I taking so long to say this?
But trust me, girl I never
Meant to crush your world
And I never
Thought I would see the day we grew apart
And I wanna know

How do you let it go? When you,
You just don't know? What's on,
The other side of the door
When you're walking out, talk about it
Girl I hope you understand
What I'm tryna say.
We just can't go on
Pretending that we get along
Girl how you not gonna see it?

There's never a right time to say goodbye
But I gotta make the first move
'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me
Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you
Girl it's not you it's me.
I kinda gotta figure out what I need (oh)
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But we know that we gotta go
Our separate ways
And I know it's hard but I gotta do it,
And it's killing me
Cause there's never a right time
Right time to say goodbye

Listen to your heart
Girl you know,
We should be apart, baby I
I just can't do it
I, I just can't do it
Listen to your heart
Girl you know,
We should be apart, baby I
I just can't do it
And sometimes it makes me wanna cry
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Do you hear me crying?
Oh, oh, oh

There's never a right time to say goodbye
But I gotta make the first move
'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me
Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you
Girl it's not you it's me.
I kinda gotta figure out what I need (oh)
There's never a right time to say goodbye
But we know that we gotta go
Our separate ways
And I know it's hard but I gotta do it,
And it's killing me
Cause there's never a right time
Right time to say goodbye

Dammit.

Skittlez at Dagupan Astrodome

Event:
Children of the Future Foundation

Performers:
Kundirana (La Salle Green Hills)
Skittlez Crew (De La Salle University Manila + College of St. Benilde)

At Dagupan Astrodome

So here's the deal. The Skittlez Crew has been invited to perform for the Kundirana (a vocal group of 10 dudes from LSGH) concert, to benefit the kids of a small, quaint city of Dagupan. Given that I had four days to learn an entire choreo, I think I did pretty good for myself. The crew did well, and even though we were as tired as hell, it was good to know that we did it for a good cause. Aside from that, we were fully sponsored by La Salle alumni, and we did not have to spend a single cent on anything.

Awesome.

^ The beach.

Sweaty rehearsals.

After the show..

Chyeah!
